History of the Lloydminster Heavy Oil Show
The first Oil show was held in September 1982 with over 300
exhibitors, making it one of the most successful shows in Lloydminster. The show has grown
to be one of the most popular oil shows in Canada with exhibitors from all over Canada and
some from the United States. Visitors have come from as far away as Russia, China, South
America and the USA.
Organizing the show, which is held every two years, is a major project which is handled
by a special committee made up of members of the Lloydminster Oilfield Technical Society.
