The Barr Colony Heritage Cultural Centre is a multifaceted facility with diverse exhibitions consisting of The Richard Larsen Museum, The Fuchs Wildlife Exhibit, The Imhoff Art Collection,  The Oilfield Technical Society Heavy Oil Science Centre, traveling exhibition and community art galleries.  The Window Shop specialty gift shop is also located on site.

The Richard Larsen Museum presents artifacts and history of the "Barr Colonists", a group of about 2000 British settlers, who established the Lloydminster region in 1903.  Artifacts include agricultural equipment, furniture and household items.  On the museum grounds are Lloydminster's first church, built in 1904, a schoolhouse dating from 1906, a furnished log cabin and an old filling station.

The Fuchs Wildlife Exhibit is believed to be the largest taxidermy exhibit created by one man in North America.  The display features mounted birds and large and small mammals in scenic settings.

The OTS Heavy Oil Science Centre offers an interactive adventure into the geology, drilling, refining and uses for the region's heavy oil reserves.  Visit this world class interpretive centre and learn about the people who overcame the challenges and pioneered the technology that revolutionized the petroleum industry.  "Squirt", the heavy oil droplet, guides you through the petroleum discovery!

The Imhoff Gallery features a comprehensive collection of paintings by Berthold Imhoff, an artist renowned for his murals in North American churches and public buildings.

The Imhoff Collection displays some 250 paintings, portraying religious and historical themes.

The Barr Colony Heritage Cultural Centre has a meeting space available for seminars, receptions, weddings, etc.  This space has theatre seating for 80 people or banquet seating for up to 60 people.  Call the Centre for details on rental costs and to view.

The Barr Colony Heritage Cultural Centre offers Public and Education Programs which focus on a variety of areas of interest.
