The local chapter of the Oil Wives Club co-sponsored a Christmas Gala, Dec. 3, 1998, as
a social event and fund raiser. Over 175 people attended and the highlight was an
auction of 10 professionally decorated Christmas trees. Shown here is Auctioneer
Carl Wilcox taking a five hundred dollar bid on one of the trees. Top selling tree
went to local lawyer Peter Johnson, for $900. The event raised over $5,600 which was
targeted for the OTS Heavy Oil Science Center. Thanks to the Oil Wives Club for
their continuing support.
