Roy Thrun
Oilman of the Year - 1978

Roy worked for Husky Oil in the Lloydminster area for 26 years, starting in 1949, except for a brief spell when he was stationed in Calgary.  Roy grew with the oil industry around Lloydminster and witnessed many changes.  Following retirement, he and his wife moved to Coquitlam, British Columbia.
