Ironically, the challenges and difficulties of producing
heavy oil make it labour intensive, and that means more direct and indirect
jobs and careers.
Heavy Oil means many more people working and living in our community.
Heavy Oil means active professional organizations such as the
Lloydminster Oilfield Technical Society
which was instrumental in the creation of this Centre
by reinvesting in the community funds raised during the bi-annual
Lloydminster Heavy Oil Show.
Heavy Oil means energetic, innovative companies
solving the problems of Heavy Oil, but also contributing directly and
indirectly to a host of community facilities, organizations and events.
