Common oil bearing zones in the Lloydminster region
derive from the Lower Cretaceous Period.
The names given the zones, on the left of the chart below, are common
terminology in our heavy oil patch. For example, the names of the various levels of contributions toward our OTS Heavy Oil Science Center, are
modeled, in part, after these zones.
